DerbySoft is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of the few companies to demonstrate and compete for an Innovator Award at PhocusWright’s 2013 Innovations in Travel Summit to be held November 19-21 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
While DerbySoft is established as the leader in connectivity between hotel central reservations systems(CRSs) and travel distribution channels such as online travel agencies (OTAs) and metasearch engines, Phocuswright chose DerbySoft to demonstrate its its newest technology that helps hoteliers leverage the recent growth in travel meta-search sites: MetaSearch Manager.
In its selection process PhoCusWright’s experienced analyst team carefully screens each candidate company “to find the best and eliminate the hype.” According to Phocuswright, DerbySoft and the other selected global innovators who take the stage at this year’s conference represent the “best of the best.” Judging will be based on the level of technical innovation, the business value of the innovation, and its potential effect on the marketplace.
The travel industry innovation that DerbySoft will be showcasing is its MetaSearch Manager, which is a suite of tools for hotel groups that offers connectivity to multiple metasearch engines, aggregated reporting and analysis functions, and a sophisticated decision support system that optimizes the bidding for specific placement on search pages to capture more direct online bookings via the hotel brand websites.
“Hotel companies are striving to have their brand.com website rates listed in metasearch results along with the rates from the various OTAs so that the consumer has the option to book directly at brand.com, which is ultimately a less costly booking than an OTA commissionable booking,” said Ted Zhang, DerbySoft’s president and chief executive officer. “Our MetaSearch Manager helps them accomplish this.”
